Munterconnaught GFC are based in Ryefield, Munterconnaught, located on the outskirts of Virginia, Co Cavan.
Our Club Ground is called St Bartholemew's Park.
We cater for all Men, Women and Children from Underage (U-6 to U-16), Minor, U-21 and Senior.
New Members are always very welcome, see further below for our Membership form, including all Membership option details and details of other activities that take place in the Club.

Club Facilities - New sports facilities have been developed and were officially opened on Friday, 12th August 2011.
They are open to paid up members only and include a Running/Walking Track with lighting, Covered Spectator Stand, Equipped Gym, Handball/Racquetball Court, Ladies Changing Rooms, Referees Room, Meeting Room and Treatment Room.
The Club secured further funding from the 2012 Sports Capital Funding programme and this allowed us to complete the pitch drainage improvements and convert the grounds behind the Handball Court into a playing/training pitch.

Handball - A Handball Club was formed in 2011 and caters for all ages. There are Adult Single and Doubles competitions, fun events and coaching sessions/competitions for juveniles. There is more information further down this page.

BREFFNI ALL STARS 2015
The Club in partnership with Cavan GAA launched the 2015 Breffni County All Stars.
It covers the Senior, Intermediate, Junior and Minor Championships.
The Club is delighted to announce Sheridan Insurances are continuing their sponsorship for the 2015 edition.
The Judging Panel will be selecting a Team of the Week and Player of the Week.
The Player of the Week will receive an award from Sheridan Insurance in recognition of their performance.

The Gala Ball took place in the Hotel Kilmore on Friday, Nov 20th.
The All Stars Team and Individual awards for 2015 were announced.
Kingscourt Stars provide 4 players, Templeport, Killeshandra & Castlerahan each provide 2 players with 1 player each from Killygarry, Cootehill Celtic, Ballyhaise, Arva & Cornafean.
Congratulations to each player on their fine indivdual achievement.

CARROLLS CUISINE GAA JERSEY COMPETITION
The Club are among 25 winners of the Carroll's Jersey Competition which was created to celebrate Carroll's 25 years of supporting Offaly GAA.
They asked GAA Clubs and Schools to describe why they deserve a set of jerseys.
NIall McEnroe entered a fabulous story which got the attention of the judges and resulted in the Club winning a free set of jerseys.

2016 JUVENILE MEMBERSHIP FEES
Underage membership fees are now due.
Fees are: €25 per Child (Boys & Girls), €100 limit per family.
Note - every child must be registered with the County Board to be eligible to play.
U-14 Div 4 CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
MunterconnaughtMacFinns defeated Castlerahan by 6 - 14 to 1 - 05 to win the U-14 Division 4 Champiohship.

U-16 Div 3 CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
Blackwater Gaels defeated Ballieborough 2 - 07 to 0 -06 to win the U-16 Division 3 Championship.

RECYCLE OF USED FOOTBALL BOOTS
We want your old/unused Football Boots for U6 - U16.
We are running a Boot swap/take for a small donation.
Drop your old Boots to any Underage Coach at training or to Lorraine O'Reilly (087-121400).
The Club is building up a gallery of photographs of players, teams, mentors, etc. from the past and present.
These are displayed in the Meeting Room.
If anyone has old photpgraphs of Teams and Players from the past or present they would like to share - plesse contact Noel McEnroe, Peter Erickson or Anne Daly.
All Underage players must wear gum shields/mouthguards at all training sessions and during matches.
This directive applies to all adult players from Jan 1st, 2014.
All parents must ensure Underage players have and bring gum shields/mouthguards to training and matches.
For Insurance purposes, anyone using the Gym must be a paid up member of the Gym and must compete and sign the Gym Disclaimer form which is available online - Here
or in the Clubrooms or from any member of the Club Executive.
Note - persons must be over 18 to order to participate in exercise programs and use the facilities.

Juvenile Handball league 2015 - congratulations to Conor Hetherton who defeated Caolin Hughes in the final.
Congratulations to Peter McCabe on becoming the first Munterconnaught player to win the Junior B County Championship 2015 title.
He defeated Vincent Mulvey (Chairman of the Handball Club) in the final.

There is a security system in place and Fobs are used to gain access to the Clubrooms.
Members can get a Fob for €10 (€5 of which is a refundable deposit).

There is lighting in operation around the track.
The use of the track is strictly limited to paid up Club members only.
Anybody using the track must be at least a paid up Social member.
